losing skills?
I am deployed to Iraq for a year and didn't bring any sim or my TREX as there is no time for flying here. I was wondering with a year long hiatus, did you find your skills dissolving to the point you had to learn everything again? I learned the basics, FFF, figure 8s, flips, nose-in etc. I was getting the hang of inverted hovers before I left.

i think its like alot of things, you wont have to "start over" but you may need to refresh abit, put afew hours on the sim, then take it easy for afew flights.

Yeah, I know what you mean...I took about a year off from helis back in 98...When I got back in it I felt really unsure about it...I went from pretty decent 3D skills to being nervous about just hovering...BUT it came back very quick...I was basically back to where I was when I quit in about 1-2 gallons of fuel...

Don't sweat it...You'll be fine...

I stopped for 6 months, and had the same concern.

It is like riding a bike, no worries!

Be safe over there.

I agree with the comments. The skills will come back fairly quickly. I had a year out of the hobby and the thumbs and brain were back after a gallon of fuel.

You will be just fine.
