Starter Pilot
So I have been wanting to get into RC heli's for awhile and i finally bought a starter heli. I got an Exceed Revolution RC 450 heli. I have been reading tutitorials etc. to learn as much as i can about it before actually flying. I even bought a sim and practiced on it.

When i felt i was comfortable enough to start learning to fly i powered up my heli. Problem is it spins a lot to the left while under power. I tried adjusting the rudder trim on the xmitter, but it didn't seem to have any effect. I also tried adjusting the gain on the gyro on both the xmitter and the heli but to no avail. I have even tried to let it hover while spinning to the left use the left/right rudder stick to try to get it to stop spinning, yet this also does nothing. At best it might slow the spinning just a lil, barley noticable. At this point i'm kind of clueless as to what/where to go next. Any help/advice from you guys here would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Jawler

First of all, I agree to check the rudder travel(Is left stick really left?) and gyro direction( Hold the heli with the motor off and twist it suddenly right- is the gyro giving left rudder?) Now...If the rudder and Gyro check out ok, Then you need more right rudder. Can you turn off the Gyro?(Switch to Normal mode). Im not familiar with your heli,so youll have to figure out which way to adjust the linkage to get more right rudder. Adjust your linkage manually, recenter the trim, and try to hover. Not enough? Keep adjusting with the linkage, not the trim switch. When you finally reach the point where it hovers with very little rudder input, turn Heading Hold back on..Dont fly in heading hold with the rudder trim anywhere but in the center because the heli thinks you are telling it to turn.
