what kind of gyro is this?

its on a friend of mines heli and we don't know how to reverse it

There looks to be a switch above the leads, try reversing that. Otherwise simply flip the gyro over though as it has a moulded base, this may not be intended but I'm sure it would work. Also,I see there are two adjusters. One is probably to alter the gain with the other to alter the neutral point. Hope this is of some help.

Thats an old Morley gyro, but yes tell your friend to get rid of it its gonna be a big problem for him and its not worth it if he crashes

Isn't that a mechanical-type gyro? As in, it actually has a rotating gyro inside? AFAIK, they only work as normal gyros which means they have no heading hold mode and will be a challenge to fly.

If he really wants to fly it just yank the gyro and set up revo mixing and go hover.... I have flown Shuttles with no gyro before and it was challenging yes but still fun none the less. Air time is air time.

No that morley model is not mechanical it is a solid state one, i think if im right its one of the first solid state gyros morley made.

To me it looks like a Century PG2000 Piezo gyro with the label removed. If it is, its a POS and must go!
