Inverted on accident.. WOW!!! :-0
Talk about scary. I've been flying for about a week now and am pretty comfortable with it but last night i went up and after about 30 seconds i turned right and instead of a bank to the right it turned into a barrel roll! wow was i freaked out! As soon as it went upright i had control again and was able to land without a scratch, i was about 50 feet up at the start of the roll and about 15 feet up at the end (no chance to put in any neg. pitch). I was countersteering the roll out of instinct and as soon as i was upright again it was back to normal. I am flying on a DX7 with an AR6000 reciever and was about 75 yards from the heli when it happened, i have flown much further away than that so i dont think it was an out of range issue. I'm thinking the swash got stuck but it moves just fine now? no binding of any kind. After the roll i got into a hover again after a check and it hovered fine but i'm scared to take it up again untill i know what caused it and have it fixed.. Thanks for any help guys...

The AR6000 doesn't really seem to be the right receiver to run in a 600. Perhaps the receiver got shadowed by the frame and momentarily lost signal.Trooper Sam

i am with TrooperSam, not sound safe to fly with ar6000, ar 6100, a full range ar7000 or new ar6200 is a must on all my big heli.<-freedoom flyer->

I have to chime in on this too. When I read "AR6000" I thought maybe it was a typo. I honestly wouldn`t trust a "Parkflyer" receiver in a 600. Truth be told, I don`t trust a parkflyer receiver in my 450 SE either. I fly an AR7000 in that bird too.

IMHO, it is just not worth the safety risk. And, for the extra 60 bucks, it`s not worth risking the Heli either.

Here is something to consider. I am new to the Spectrum scene and yesterday I was setting up a Trex 450 with a 6200 Spectrum receiver. Instead of using the ESC and LiPo to power up during the set up I used an old (uncharged) 4.8V NiCd pack I had laying around. After about 1 hour of messing around with my set up I noticed that if I flicked the swash around real fast with the stick the receiver would lock everything up for a couple of seconds then resume back to normal operation. I am not sure but I think the quick stick movements would draw enough power to lower the voltage to the receiver and it would momentarily go into fail-safe mode. After a couple of seconds the voltage would come back up and normal operations would resume.
This scenario happened with an old, uncharged battery and I don't know what the voltage of the pack was when I started the set up. I am pretty confident that due to low voltage the receiver was going into fail-safe. Sounds like this might be what you experienced and would explain why things are fine and the swash seems to be ok now.

Just a thought,
Bruce

That was caused by dropping your working voltage below the threshold of the Rx. The spektrums will reboot when voltage falls below a certain voltage. A bunch of planks went in until spektrum informed people of their voltage errors.

so I picked up an AR7000 today should i pick up a new RX battery too? if so what one would you suggest, i'm using the stock LiPo that came with the kit. The battery was fully charged at the time, it was my fist flight since re-charging it.
