Help with one of those little cheapy air hogs helis

Hey guys,

Since I had to sell off all my good equipment due to some health problems (basically funding medication), I had to find a way to still fly (sim doesn't count). So I went and bought one of the little air hog $30 helis
I'm aware this thing is not top knotch but thought it would be fun for gloomy days. Anyway, I've just about broke the throttle stick trying to make rudder inputs with it
So, does anyone have any tips for flying it or making it more of a hot-rod??...You know, like just the typical "I wanna make it faster, better, stronger" thing?? Can I get new batteries for it? Would Losi micro-T lipos work??
Thanks for any help. I will be back in the hobby for 'real' in a few months probably.

Be sure to do this mod, http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...=18#post6106501

It makes the heli run much smoother, longer and fly better.

Stick a tach in the nose and then it will really cruise

Rather than weighting the nose so that it's always doing forward flight I tweak the tail a bit so that I get forward flight with right rudder and stationary with left rudder and after some practice I can do just about anything with it almost like a Blade CX - For fast hurricanes in the living room I just launch it at the right high angle of attack at full throttle and the right amount of rudder and it'll book around the room several times and usually slow and shrink to the center of the room
