Stotck motor / 35A ESC & Lipos (one hot, one not)
Hi all.
I have a stock 450CDE with the stock motor & the 35A Align ESC. I have two 3S 2100 LiPos. One is a Thunder Power (15C/24C burst) and the other is a FlightPower (18C/28C burst)

The issue is the Thunder Power lipo doesn't really seem to change temp during a flight where as the FlightPower gets quite warm to the touch.

Just extremely mild hovering around. Could the FlightPower be bad? Has about 5 flights on it. The ThunderPower has about 50 (used in an airplane, too)

Thanks!

OK.
Thanks for the info!

I do have a slightly puffed 2S 800 E-Flight for my Blade CX/2. I'm assuming I shouldn't use it. (I haven't charged it after it puffed)

If it not puff, it all good, my new tp 2070 25c also warm on titan. I have hyperion pack that slight puff after flight but no problem at all, this one had 150 _ 200 circle on her, look like her life come an end soon.<-freedoom flyer->

brian, lipos take some time to reach peak performance.. it will also vary depending on how often you use them.. to have lipos performing at their best you have to use them all the time.. since the flightpower is only new that would be the reason it's running slightly hotter. the flightpower should be similar to the thunderpower or possible better after you have used it more.

from my experience it takes about 6 recharges to get them near peak performance, however this is providing the 6 recharges are within a week. i also find that if i don't use a battery for 2 weeks the performance is down next time i use it. but after one discharge it's back to normal.

Cheers
Darren
