All this from that 100A ESC and Align 600L motor
Hi all,

I know this is a Aircraft and Heli forum, but it is one of my source for good High Voltage goodies. Today I did some runs on my 1/8 scale monster truck too see what kind of power I was getting. The funny thing about the set up that is in the truck now is the fact the motor in it was meant for a helicopter. The specs on my system are: 100A made in China BL ESC, Align 600L motor, 2 A123 10S1P is parallel, gearing is 22T/51T and the truck weighs close to 15 pounds. I first did a bench test and the results were: Current Max: 122.31, Voltage: ranged from 36.46 max and 20.86 min, Power max: 2678.55 and this test was for only 20 sec. or so. I've been running this set up for a while now and the motor is really taking the abuse. After this initial test, I took the truck for a spin on a empty parking lot and the results freaked me out completely. The DPR-II-150 was only meant for 150AMPs, but here are the results: Current max: 172.49, Voltage: ranged from 36.56 max and 20.94 min, Power max: 3780.32. All this from a 100A ESC and a Align 600L motor. I ran the truck just a little over 3 minutes. I still need to connect the temp probes to see what kind of temps everything is. From touching the controller I would assume 150-160F and the motor was a little hotter at maybe 180-190F. The results are insane and I'm now going to buy the 600XL motor too see what it will do. The 600L is rated at 1500 watts to be used with 22.2 volts and I got 3780 watts out of it. Now the 600XL claims to be 2000 watts!!!!! Here are the graphs:

I'm having a 200A controller made for surface (mainly cars/trucks) use, but I'll see if it can also have programing for aircraft and heli.
