Gyros keep burning up - Help
I'm a newbie can any one help? Just getting into the hobby I didn't know what to start with, so I purchased a Honybee CP 2 on my first take reving up ready to take off, the 4 in 1 gyro glowed and went up in a cloud of smoke. So I ordered another one (these Gyros are made by E-Sky) with the second one every time I reved up to take off the same thing happened, Here is my question , someone told me I can use E-Flight parts for the Honybee, they said E-Flight is a step better . Can I use an E-Flight 4 in 1 on my E-Sky? someone else told me it won't work with my radio, radio is 72 mhk the gyros are 72 also. or should I use this as a door stop and move on. Thanks guys.

A 72 MHz gyro. What is the fellow who told you THAT, smoking? The operation of a gyro has absolutely nothing to do with the frequency that your radio happens to transmit on.

Smoking Gyro
I'm sorry what I was trying to say is, these E-Sky Gyros must be very cheap, because they keep burning up. What I'm trying to find out is can I use a different companys Gyro on my E-Sky like the E-Flight gyro, it cost a little more money but it might be a better one.

I don't think the E-flight electronics will work. Reason being is the mixing might be different than that of the HoneyBee/E-Sky electronics. If you are burning up the electronics units when you spool them up, then something else is wrong. It sounds like something is jamming up, overheating the EU. JMHO
