Sim ?
Which may be the best ? And when you start out does it pretty much walk you through everything step by step. Meaning doing one thing, mastering, then moving on to the next? Or if anyone could tell me a little info about the sim...

I have the Reflex flight sim, you can practice on individual axis's if youlike and then switch to full control, This sim dosnt come with a remote and your TX needs to be able to be pluged into the PC

Jadynn,

I have flown Reflex, which is very good.

Lately I have switched to Phoenix, and it is the best in my opinion, if only for the autorotation training feature.

check out G3 which has a downloadable demo version to see if compatible with your pc...also has online multiplayer where you can learn from others as well, comes with Tx, also video tutoring from "pros" on how to anything acrobatic or 3d.

i do not know if the "others" have all these features...maybe some but not all...each is different BUT ALL will teach you the same basics...how to fly and save money from crashes.

there are no say "tutorials" or "levels" on the sim to follow, you go at your own pace, you can set an objective in your head and work at it, and there are games on g3 that can help you, and refelx you can make the computer controll some of the axis so you could say train your throttle working, or tail, etc..

realflight g3, g3.5 includes a radio, its only for the sim though, dont get any ideas about using it for anything more. I am unsure about pheonix and reflexs you need to buy a radio. but you will have to eventually anyways, so why not get it over with? Also before you order reflex you should know what kind of radio your getting because you require the special cable, you get to chosse witch kind is included with it if you buy it online and know what kind the radio is.

I would suggest getting the Heli you want and making sure your TX has a training port on it, THEN get the simulator to work with your TX. My reason is because it will help you learn about your TX and this will be the actual one used for flight so you will get more of a feel for it. this is also what I did with my Hitec Optic 6. it was my first TX it was complected at first because I had never owned a digital TX for flight only cars.

G3 includes "trainer" cables for both JR and Futaba.

I use a JR radio and have connected it but not anymore...just a personal choice.

IF going that route consider a second set of battery for your Tx unless planning on waiting for it to "charge" again to either go fly for real what you just practiced. Talk about a long wait.

Then you will be back to square one...using included Tx anyways.

And believe me, you will spend HOURS in that sim. It's addicting at first especially online multiplayer where you learn from others as well.

Best of luck!

what I was referring to about radios is there are a lot of blade cp radios tossed aside as the pots are a little weak but for a simulator I would assume they would be fine. The sticks just need to be exercised in circles a little before flight to clean them a bit.No Really I am the club President!!!
