main shaft holder? new invention
well, in the midst of upgrading my raptor i think i may have creted a useful tool, yes its just the prototype, with packing tape, but i am think of mounting it to clamps that could clamp to the side of the table... i think this could be very handy for keeping it out for the way, or for working on it, the swash can still move freely and could rotate(if my table wasnt full of stuff...)

Cool, you could put some bearing blocks and really rotate it freely.Cajun Aircraft

Yeah, bolt some bearing blocks into the table horizontally, and you have a head balancing setup.

hmm, only thin i have with a hole in the bench is nuts and bolt could fall down it if there is no mainshaft in it.. the other thing the works well is the heli airframe, it holds it nicely

I would trust the plastic head a lot further than I would trust wood blades.

Wood blades used for anything other than low rpm hover training (under 1700 rpm) is an accident looking for a place to happen.

Yeah I got a hole in my bench too. I decided to add a modification to that setup and drilled another hole so I can sit two heads there at once

Darn you Turner you stole my line! lol. Yes, this is a fantastic thread and it doesn't even mean to be. Some of the best lines of the year if one looks close enough. Keep it up! I was Spektrum when Spektrum wasn't cool

there is a three hole mod somewhere on RR but I gotta warn you guys thats starting to push the envelope. There is only so much modification that can be done until....well....something dangerous can happen. Now I am a professional....so don't try this at home till I have tested it well and truly. I'm going in. I'm gonna take one for the boys. Wheres my drill?
