Thanks for the information.

3Dx standoff 0.9375 inches = 23.8125 mm

Align kit Original = 41.75mm

Align shorter upgrade = 37.75mm

Does this not cause a problem being shorter than the Align part with the canopy touching servos and arms?

They are measured from different points.

No they don’t touch servos, arms or anything; I have being using them Tiiiimmmeee ago…..waiting for me to crash but I didn’t, so we bench test the fuse part of the Standoff’s
They broke before the CF frames…

It does appear then that yours are still a tad shorter than the original Align units??? Considering that the originals cause rubbing for some people using certain servos, won't yours exacerbate the issue? I don't care because I run Futaba servos but others can chime in here...

I`m using a JR 8900G servo for my rudder with the 37.75mm standoff with the pushrods in line and the canopy just about goes on with out touching - only just.
The JR 8231`s I`m using on my cyclics with the Align servo disc gives me a 1 - 2mm clearance.
I certainly could not have the rear of the canopy coming in any less than with the Align standoff.
The product itself looks superb I just needed to make sure that things were going to fit ok - maybe a slighty longer version is needed for some people?

In the worst case you can ad some wasers, but can you mesure from the surface to the same point on that standoff´s???

3DX....What do you think about making a servo mount to put the elevator servo between the frames? Im thinking two standoffs and the servo would be inside the frames instead of hanging out of the side.

The JR 8900 servo fitted measures exactally 31mm from the frame surface.( mounted to give parallel pushrods).
The new Align standoff is 29.5mm from frame surface to its flat part.
As I said it is very close with just the thickness of the rubber canopy grommet and slight canopy curvature giving the 1.5 - 2mm clearance.

The 37.75mm total length is correct.

You have you servo mounted on the outside of the frame if I am not mistaken??? My servo is mounted with the ears on the inside of the frame.

If your refering to the servo in the picture, thats the elevator servo not the TR servo.

My mistake it is the elevator servo not the tail servo that just about clears the canopy
This is a JR 8231 and it is mounted from the outside going into the frame as noticed.I found that mounting from the inside out didn`t seem to look right with the pushrods.I have a pretty straight/parallel run this way.Looks to give you about 6mm more if mounted on the inside.Sorry about the confusion.

It might be a good idea to use a nylon screw as the weak point so in case you crash, it doesn't tear up the frame or the canopy.

It is a nice design though. Maybe I'll pick some up for my other helis!

The correct way to mount the Servo is in side the frames not on the outside…
That will clear more space for sure..

Try doing that…

I copied my 600E instalation to get the pushrods parallel to the frame, not a problem and as I said it does just clear as it is with the Align part.
Checking it out again, gives me nearly 6mm extra clearance, still leaves it a little bit tight to use your standoff.I suppose the answer as you said would be to use some washers to space it out from the frame just that little bit more, that would be the best option
The standoff looks good, not really a lot of $ to waste either if it doesn`t quite work out fully.I`ll see about getting one to try

Just got mine today and installed them. I'm using 9451 servos in one 600n and 9155's in the other and the canopy sets right up against both servos. It's not distorting the canopy any, just barely touching it. I don't expect any problems from vibration but if it does one washer will take care of it.

I really like the way the canopy fits on these mounts. The thumb screws tighten everything up real nice. In a crash I hope they break off before the frames break, though.

The threads for the mounting screw on one of them was drilled a little off center but it wasn't enough to cause any problems.

From what I understand,

they bench tested the mounts, and they broke the bolt before the frames broke!
