Evo 50 Tail Blade
Hey,
My stock plastic(blue) tail blades got some scratches from a lite crash. I don't know if I can use them again.. so.. I'm looking for a Carbon Tail Blades. Someone offered me MAH 90mm tail blades.. is it worth anything? he offers that for 20$. brand new.

Also, I'm looking at the Freya tail upgrade. I don't want to buy all the parts.. Does anybody have this complete tail setup(without blades) for sale ? Let me know.

Thanks,
Gil.

The MAH 90mm tail blades are quite good, and they retail for over $30 here in the USA. I would jump at that $20 offer. A low-cost alternative if you are not into backwards flight yet would be the standard plastic 92mm Freya blades (0414-165). These work almost as well as the carbon blades, since they have a bit more holding power but are not as stiff.

Since the Freya tail hub/grip upgrade re-uses several parts that are common with the Evo 50 tail, it'll be quite a bit more expensive to buy the whole assembly. To do the conversion, you only need the hub, grips, one set of bearings and some washers. The part numbers are:

0414-164 Freya Tail Rotor Hub
0404-662 Freya Tail Grips
2500-070 3x9x3 Bearings
2506-003 Washers

You'll reuse the existing bearings and grip screws.

Thanks Leif.
Can I buy those parts at Rick's ?
Do I need to buy 2 sets of tail blade grips?..Can you write the amount of each part?

I bought the blades, they look so nice near to the blue plastic tail blades.

I also bought the MAH G2 600mm to replace the broken Hirobo fiberglass blades.

Friday - Test flight. After that, maybe I'll do the freya upgrade.

Thanks.

You just need one each of each part number. The prices are about 9,8,16 and 1.5, or about $35 total. Yes, you can find these at Rick's.

The Freya tail hub system is quite a bit larger than the stock Sceadu Evo assembly. In fact, you'll gain about 17mm diameter. This makes the tail very powerful, but also makes it a lot easier to accidently hit the tail on the ground. Depending on where you are in your flight skills this isn't always the best upgrade to do. The stock grips work very well as long as you have decent blades.

The CarbonExtreme fin for the Sceadu is good. It is larger than the stock plastic fin and is very strong.

This is what I'm using on both of my Evos.
