Tango 45-10 owners - quick question
This isn't a Logo specific question, but this motor seems very popular in the Logo community so I was hoping someone could help.

I'm considering on of these motors and seeing some confusing info. Kontronik's web site says the motor is rated at 920k/v, the label on the motor in the pics says clearly 1020k/v, and Tower Hobbies's site lists the motor at 1050k/v. So which is correct, because a range of 920-1050 is going to make a big difference in gearing I would think.

It's a 1050Kv motor as listed on the Kontronik (German) site.

http://www.kontronik.com/tango2005e.htm

However, the label on my 45-10 says 1070Kv???

You'll be OK using 1050Kv as your number for gearing purposes.

That's what I was hoping to hear. So if this motor is closer to 1050k/v then it will work well on 8S correct?

that might be a tad high , but as long as you have 90 % gov or lower ( no less than 85%) then this will be a power house forsure.
30000 rpms for any kontronics is bad to the bone ,

Anthony it would be worth the while to email Kontronik for clarification on voltage input, personally I have not heard of anyone running 8S on the 45-10, not saying it can not be done, just have not heard or seen it. Let us know what they tell you on the matter. ...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

as long as the motor isnt tunning more than 31000 rpms , then you should be fine ,
Im turning a 45-06 29000 with 12S , 45-08 , its turning right at 31000 on 10s , the 45-07 is a 11 S motor , so the 45-10 , my best for the best effiency , 7s , but maybe can get a way with 8s is you run a true 85% gov. But thats a big word there ( MAYBE) .
run a CC 85 , a Kontronics esc might be at its max switching .
