Have you noticed that this 7703D is pushed back into September now? So much for June availability I'm absolutey amazed that this outfit (Horizon) has been able to stay in business. If I were JR I'd be finding me a REAL distributor for my product!

There, their and they're. It's really that simple.

Don't be too harsh on them

You would probably find that JR's factories are working to maximum capacity with all these new goodies coming onto the market... the new X9303... new servos.. new gyros... continuing the build of normal radios etc... I know some of my stuff has been delayed !!

As Horizon have probably ordered in quantities of 1000's, it does take time to put together and if it is all going to be sent in one shipment again that can add to the "delay".

Don't forget that Horizon gives tentative dates for release.

From what I can work out the 770T is made for the Australian market and the 7703D is the US version.
The 770T has been out here for a few months, I have been flying them in everything from my Mini Titan to my N9's and they rock. The piro is very very consistent even in high winds. In a 50km hr wind I could piro flip up wind with out loosing piro consistency. In my opinion I would rate it in the 611 class no worries.
The first thing you will notice is the piro performance. By the way I have tried to get the tail to let go without success. For the cash worth it well and truly.

Its weird, I don't know if my eyes were playing tricks on me or not, but when I went to horizon last night the g770 3d appeared to be in stock, but after I posted the g770 question, it went into Backorder status.

These are going in my evo 50 tonight. They look to be very high quality....Love the gyro's metal case.

I have also heard it's way up in the 611 class yet is less complex, stronger (metal case) better with noise suppresion due to the case on electric heli's, lighter, no amp required and the 8900G specs are better than the 9256 (.05/60 and 49 oz/in)
It's also worth noting how incredibly smooth the servo feels to turn by hand. I'm liking this servo even before fitting it. Apparently it chatters a bit when turned on but it is a very active system and from all accounts it is normal....doesn't affect flying. Must be picking up everything!!!!

I've never been a big fan of JR Gyros before, always seem to bulky. But the g770 is definitely a sure thing. Same size as the 401 but performs up to the standards of a 611. How can you beat the price too?
Awesome! When this comes out in the US i'm going to be one of the firsts to buy it.

I'm not a big fan of JR gyros. They all seem to drift? Did they fix that or do you still have to dump in sub-trim?

I appreciate you guys doing all of the testing. Keep us posted.

I dont use any trim you dont need it. It lerns a new center point every time you turn it on in heading hold mode just like the Futaba Gyros.
Here is a video of one in my Mini Titan, take the abuse of the small heli environment without wagging or drifting.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=kUZEGTB-CX0

Was only the 3rd flight with the heli and it felt good right away, I can get piro loops out of this thing and the tail only lets go when the batt is getting down and you load the motor hard. Love this gyro.

"G7703D/S8900G Gyro/Servo Combo Pack

Key Features

Constant Pirouette rate G770 3D Gyro
Heading-Lock and Normal modes available
Aluminum Gyro case
G770 3D Gyro features Analog and Digital servo compatibility
Ultra-Speed Servo for Instant Tail Control Reaction
8900G features an aluminum Heat Sink Center Case to help keep motor cool and increase efficiency
Perfect for 600 Size and larger Helis
Ultra Precision Nylon Gears

Overview

The G770 3D gyro uses all-new SRVS UltraLok ™ technology to provide constant rotation rates regardless of head speed, wind or flight direction. And with its auto-trimming and anti-drift features, trim fiddling is a thing of the past. What’s more, the ultra high response rate 770 3D holds like no other JR gyro.

The G7703D gyro and 8900G servo are available separately or as a combo. Either component can improve your current machine - together they'll transform it"

Whoops I may have said metal geras in the servo. No wonder it is smooth. Who cares....I had to replace the 9254's gears everytime I whacked the tail with the ground and something has to give. Plastic gears stay tighter than metal and something good on a tail anyway I reckon.

Anyone have a manual???? I have lost mine through the damn wash. My wife is too efficient.

Sorry guys I think I misquoted the servo specs. 72 oz inches. (I obviously cannot convert kg/cm to oz/in or someone cant)
Some one listed the 611 as being 3.4 kc/cm and next to it had 49 oz/in. I converted the 3.5kg/cm on the back of the box the servo came in to 123.458 oz and then divided it by 2.54 to get oz/in which is 48.6 oz/in. What am I doing wrong or is horizon over rating the servo?
Cheers
