Do you lube your flybar o-rings?
Hello Everyone,

I'm finally getting around to fixing my *very crashed* SEv2. Needless to say, the main shaft was quite bent. Surprisingly, it appears my feathering spindle is good, though I'm going to replace it to make sure.

The crash was so severe that a couple of the o-rings tore out of the rotor head. I seem to recall that you should lube them when re-installing. Is that correct? I see no mention of lubing in the instruction manual so that's why I'm asking here.

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Regards,
Pete

Hi lovespicyfood
If you hit hard enough to bend your main shift you can be sure you're spindle it bent as well, no mater how it looks go ahead and replace it. Replace all the o-rings not just the torn one, Yes they should be lubed, Have to get back to you on the type.

T-Rex-Flyer: Thanks for the reply! I wonder why they don't show lube in the manual?

I have two types of lube, both plastic safe. One is "lightweight" and the other is thicker. Which one do you think I should use?

I'll definitely replace the feathering shaft. It makes me cringe to wonder if I bent any other expensive machined aluminum parts?! Everything else looks alright, but I know I won't know before I get the thing back together and flying again.

I guess that is the double-edged sword in regards to engineering durability into a heli, the forces have to go somewhere...

Thanks Again!
Pete

I had re-check the manual as well and didn't find it. So I don't know where I has seen it. I use the Trueblood red damener upgrade.
I get them from
