ID this muffler
I have a Cy muscle pipe I want to sell. The problem is that I don't know what it fits. I bought it for a 50 but I think that it may be a 90 pipe. I don't want to mislead anyone so I need to know what are the dimensional differences between a 50 pipe and a 90 pipe.

The dimensions between bolt holes is about 2 1/8 inches the big diameter is 2 1/2 inches the adapter is not factory but it does adapt it to a 50. The bolt hole spacing makes me think it's a 90 pipe

On a 90, the fat part of the muffler is probably about as big in diameter as a regular 12fl oz Coke can, if its substantially smaller, then its the 50 one.Still buyin' and flyin' then crashing and cryin'

For the MP II...

80/90 unit is two piece (seperate header and muffler)

50 size is one piece.

But that is some kind of custom header. Maybe fits a 50?

EDIT: Sorry, I just read where you stated it was a custom 50 adapter. Doh!!

The pipe is for a 90 and the header is a custon job or something.
Did you get that from Lior? I think I remember him doing that to his 90 size MP and then fitting it to a 50.

greg, i did make one of these mods some time back and ended up selling it. but this one is NOT the one i made.

This muffler is an MP2 90 size muffler, with a custom OS50 size header. this combo actually work rather well on the OS50 !
