Being on a low budget myself and wanting to get into the hobby, I started with Co-axial V3 Lama which taught me orientaion while giving me the satisfaction of actually having a bird in the air. My next step was sim time on reflex. I made the mistake of buying a Venom 3DXL for my next step and found that the electronics are garbage. I still hope to fly it one day but Trex 450 is where I'm going to go. Still, your looking at $700 for a flyable heli (electic) and radio, and gyro, and servos, ect. I just buy equipment as I can afford and keep flying the Co-axial Lama everyday. One day I'll be in the collective, Ha, trekee funny there.

Cool, $40 bucks. That would also be a good buy to see if I would like it.
