What does it mean if my charger keeps on charging?
I have a good quality peak detection charger .I also have a 4 cell NiMH pack (2000mA) from Tower. Now I set my charger first to discharge and then to charge ,only at 200mA ...but recently I have found it just to keep going with no end in sight .Is my battery now worthless or is it still getting 2000mA of charge, although no peak is detected. It seems to fly alright. There's definitely nothing wrong with the charger as it does fine with other packs..

thanks

The lower the charge rate (C/10 in your case) the less pronounced the voltage peak will be and the less likely the the charger will detect it.

Try increasing the charge rate to C/2

I would not charge your NiMH any faster than c/10, unless you like buying batteries. At c/10, if your batttery is fully discharged, it will take 10 hours or more. A lot of peak chargers can not properly detect the voltage peak of a NiMH. This is more of a NiCd charge method. Try a c/10 charge until your battery is warm (warm, not hot). If your battery is new, you will need to give it a forming charge of c/10 for 12-16 hours. If your battery is old, it has a weak cell which will not allow it to reach full voltage.Blades; what goes around, comes around!

You might want to check with a knowledgeable source (like Sanyo) before you say things like that.
