Wazup with my 9z?
After leaving my 9z on trickle for a week, I came back and hit the on switch... Nothing. I pulled the battery and checked the voltage... 10.5 v. Put it back in, worked fine.... Same thing the next day after cycling! I push down on the battery, the radio works fine. I'm afraid to use it. Don't see corrosion on the plugs, Don't wanna clean off the gold with fine paper. Was not dropped. Worst thing done to the radio was setting it down on wet grass. Dew. This radio and I have a love hate relationship....

Sounds like a crash looking for a place to happen ! I have disassembled my 9Z battery before. Just two or three screws I think. I would open it up a see if something looks corroded on the connector. I heard you can buy replacement battery holders from Radio South. Good luck.
