You can convert to belt drive tail using Compy 300 parts, you can find them here... http://www.heli-fever.com/index.php?cPath=4_45

You need the tail boom mount for the Compy and few other parts. Hint, the Compy tail boom is EXACTLY the same diameter as a Trex, so by using a mix of Compy and Trex parts you can easily turn it into a belt drive tail setup. If you want more info, let me know I can post the details of what I did when I built mine.

why doesn't horizon make one of those in an upgrade kit for real 3D out of the box. Real nice job rccarguy great looking heli maybe you should package it I would buy one if the price was right. I have learned the stock BCPP was a joke yes it flies ok but Its not a precise 3D machine or a trainer which is what I used it for. I am still just baffled what market this heli was designed for?No Really I am the club President!!!

Three words... TO SELL PARTS ...

Even though I have Trex 450 SE, I find I'm addicted to 300 class Heli's. Like so many others, the first one I bought was a CP Pro that I battled with for weeks on end before I could simply hover it (I was already hovering and doing FFF with the Trex by then). After a number of unsatisfying upgrades I decided that a belt drive tail was a necessity, so I put the Blade aside and built the J-Team/Compy/Trex hybrid. Nice flying machine, but the Achillies heel is the HDX 300 rotor head and it's tiny 3 mm mainshaft that bends if you look at it the wrong way. There is a fix for it and I've put over 50 flights on it now doing little more than recharging the batteries and making sure the tail belt stays tight

Since then I've rebuilt the Blade with a FreeStyle belt drive tail, bought the HBK 2, and enough parts to assemble another Compy 300 as well as a stock CP Pro, so the fleet of 300's continues to grow (I actually have 5 now, but don't tell my wife, three are in hiding!)
