Battery Size and Weight?
I have a Raptor 30 V1 that I recently bought. Thru taking care of some maintenance and replacing some electronics, I need to get a new Rx battery.

I'm going to get a 4.8v, four cell pack.
I know there are many choices out there, as well as getting a custommade pack, which is what I'm thinking of.

If I use four Sub C size cells, (any capacity), the pack will weight just over half a pound. I could use smaller size cells, but I'd prefer the SC size if possible. (The one size smaller is a 4/5 A, but the weight is not drastically less.)

Is just over half a pound, for a 4 cell pack, kinda heavy, on the front of a 30 size Heli?
Or is this amount of weight no big deal and won't affect the balance of the Heli, or its performance?

I would say that a sub C pack is too heavy for a 30 size machine and will make your heli nose heavy.

This is a 1700mah nicad by Sanyo and is what I use in my Raptor 50, I get about 3-4 flights before I need to recharge. The nicad uses 4 "AA" size batteries, and is nice and light and will not effect the balance of your Raptor.
