Seperate BEC
How many of you guys use a seperate BEC with CC-35?
I talked to the factory rep. said that with 3 servos tail servo rx and gyro that the BEC is maxed out.
If I do switch to a seperate BEC can I put it to any channel(Spare) or other wise?

I run a Medusa 2A BEC; works great!
As long as you pull the red wire from receiver connector of the CC35, you can run the BEC into any free channel.

You are using a 2amp BEC? Should I just go ahead and use a 3amp or larger just to be on the safe side? Just asking so Ill know what to order if I go seperates.
THe CC-35 is supposed to have a 3amp BEC, but gets extremely hot when just hovering(this is normal according to the tech guy at CC). Dont like things that run hot enough to burn my fingers
What servos are you running, Digital and standard?
Factory guy said that if I was running digitals to go ahead and use a seperate BEC because the digitals draw alot more current. Just courious.
I want a linear BEC for effecency dont I?

You want a switching regulator for efficiency. A 2A switching type should be fine for a standard 3x analog servo on cyclic and 1xdigital on rudder. I use a Medusa Potencia but there are several other brands that are just as good.

LOL
Are you saying I'm not on the safe side?

1.5amp would be marginal for a rex. 2 amps are plenty.
I run 3 on my 5's.
Both Kyle Stacy and I have no troubles with it, and appreciate the small size for the Rex. Servos are JR 285 digitals, with a 401/9650 tail.
