Phoenix sim and my computer
I emailed Phoenix about this but would also like to see what you all say too. I currently have RealFlight G3.5 and run it quite well on my laptop. My laptop has a 1.70 Ghz processor, 1 GB of RAM, an ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 graphics card. It runs G3.5 at 40fps using photofields and all other sliders at their highest positions. Using photofields is quite fine by me. My question: how well should my computer run Phoenix? I'd like to get this simulator as I hear the heli physics are much better than G3.5.

Thanks
---------

I run Phoenix on a HP Pavilion dv9000t, windows Vista(a memory hog), with the Ge-Force Go 7600 and it runs smooth as silk. I don't know what the frames per/sec are .

I would like to think that it should run without a problem. Any other opinions?---------

What operating system? 32 or 64bit?
Whats the processor type?
Video RAM?

My old computer
----------------
1.3ghz AMD Athlon XP (overclocked)
512mb RAM
Nvidia 128mb AGP
Windows XP Pro

With my old computer, G3 or G3.5 performance and quality really stinked, and that's with (particles, shadow, etc. disabled) but with Phoenix, it ran like it was on a different computer. Very smooth, small frame jitters here and there but not as bad, or close to G3. Phoenix made the sim playing more enjoyable, while G3, well made it a mess.

My video memory is 64MB. Like I said though, it runs RealFlight very well using the photo fields.---------

It even runs on my sons hand me down 5yo (maybe older) 800mhz laptop with just a little memory and cheap video. He has to turn down the graphic but it runs pretty good. If it will run on that it will run on most anything.
If you can run RealFlight you can run Phoenix, don't know what else to say, it runs good.
