I flying Solo Idea
I dont fly solo but have been thinking of ideas to try help me when I have a problem that my operator is not avail. I have not looked into whether there is n affordable device you can use but there might be. I was thinking of a chip/sensor/transmitter that you could place on the ground at the point where you would like a point of your photo to be. As an example if you were taking photos of a house you could place this transmitter in the center of the house and set the direction of the pick up sensor on your helicopter so that this point would be the bottom third of the photo. As you fly around the house the camera would always point bact to this point. A 360 mount would work the best.

Please give some input

Regards
Jason

been thinking of this one for awhile. We need to use some existing technology or system we could modify. I fly 100% solo. Let me know if you think of anything

It is not quite the same thing but it is cheap and dirty …

Use one or two laser pointers and place white targets outside the framed shot. The laser pointer is mounted to the camera mount and essentially acts like a sight. Lining up the sight might take some experimentation. As a second option if the laser beam was directed at the framed shot (a house for example) it might be easy to photo shop the spot out.

What could be more fun?

use a wide angle lens with a DSLR and a 1 gig or better card. Take lots of photos. Works every time.
