Ron,

Nice try, I'm not going to get suckered into a flame war with you.
Not trying to start a flame war...I just found it funny you called people "whiners" and then did exactly the same thing
"There seems to be a lot of whining out there about the clutch liner, plastic fan and the auto-rotation one-way bearing in the Nitro. But then I noticed it was usually the same bunch of guys doing all the complaining.......The only part I had issue with was the clutch. I didn't like the late engagement."

Fan = crap (replaced)
Clutch liner = too thin (replaced with R90 liner)
One way = junk (soon to be replaced)
Gray dampers = pudding (replaced with black ones)
Black dampers = jello (replaced with shaved red raptor dampers)
Stock fuel line = trash (used Prather line)
Stock clunk setup = maybe OK but used fuel magnet instead

Flight performance is great. I have about 5 gallons through the ship and it is totally worth the bugs. The stock black dampers work fine with stock metal grips...I know a guy with over 100 flights on the stock black dampers using metal grips and the head is fine. The issue is that the thrust bearings are sinking into the plastic grip which allows too much gap...which lets the dampers float around and wear out.

Heh. Mine was perfect till the oneway went at gallon 3. Oh and clunk line went at 3.5. (Still don't know why I tried it. Optimist I guess.)

-Clutch is fine.
-Fan flexes like a Mofo but is fine if you allow for it.
-Oneway, I didn't clean and lube before install. Lithium on build might have been the ticket.
-Dampeners fine with metal grips (so far)

It shows up every day. Very little maintenance needed, just good preflight/post flight. Never met a heli with zero problems. They all take a little tweaking and good set up, imho.

right now im on 5th gallon cool power 30%......and still flying ...

Clutch liner - stock
Fan - 3dx(replaced because I said so)
dampers - worn out, but still has lots of authority, saves me from adding more expo.
One way bearing - locked up (applied red grease from the supplied packet, and so far so good)

None of the above issues effect the flight performance. This heli is awesome. It is fast, in both forward flight and cyclic.

Summary - WOW - excellent heli

The only issues I have had was the engine leaning out and the tail wagging, both of which were setup related. I traced the engine issue back to a leak somewhere in the pressure system (YS 50). The LogicTech 6100 doesn't seem to like the vibes from the engine running rich, but some thicker gyro tape helped that.

Had about a gallon through her so far and the 1 way is fine. I bought th GForce when I bought the heli, but the first few flights with the stock fan produced no issues.

Just curious, did the manual mention using the red grease ? I wondered where is was intended to be used.

yes the instruction do tell you to use the grease that was suppied. i assumed every one here followed the instructions hence why i never mentioned it before. but in the manuel page 9 of the pro version it tells you to use pack 600nb3 and bellow that showa the pic of the grease packet with the other components and then in the instructions it says clearly apply grease on the one-way bearing shaft.
but to be completly honest i can see how it is easy to miss as i had to read the instructions a couple times before carrying out each section just to make sure i was following them correct, the most anoying thing about the instructions was the parts where they say assembled at factory please check before installing , on some parts to do this you had to take it apart such as the tail gear asembly ,which i couldnt understand why they bothered to put it together if we have to take it apart to check it?

You know what they say about Assumed?

I looked at the pictures and the Chinese characters. There were English words on there. I must have missed that?

i take it you havent read a recent post of mine on the bearing problems. well it apears i had a bearing problem even though i did grease it. this time ive greased it big time, however it did take a while to get the shaft of and get to the bearing in the first place, i only noticed it had failed as i was getting glitches it apears the sleeve that fits into the bearing was moveing around the shaft due to the bearing seizeingA.K.A 509

I may not have read all of your posts, but I have read some of them. My one way locked up three times. After the last one, I pulled it apart (again) and greased it using the supplied red grease. I mean, I greased it good. I made(ask) my girlfriend, because her fingers are smaller, to pack the grease down into the bearings. Then I would inspect it, add more grease and tell(ask) her to do it again. After three rounds, I put it all back together. So far so good.

I'm currently in the process of rebuilding. Something to do with an attempted inverted backwards loop? But, I can't verify that. I'm not sure what really happened, but the one way is still working?
