I have used ceramic bearings from http://www.rc-bearings.com. I have ran them in all my Hypers and my YS 91's w/o any issues. I fly in some of the worst weather, high humidity year round and both high heat and humidity during the Summer months. The ceramic bearings have never failed after I installed them.Gary

There is nothing wrong with webra. Just need to be patient on break in, and you can run it on 5% and get the same power a OS has on 30%. Lived in Germany for years and ran webra's. Have a 90P5 in one of my heli's back home and it runs like a champ. Just be patient breaking it in since they are very high compression.

ez2bgman,

Do you mind posting all the bearings needed for the sport knight setup? When I get mine, I want to go to RC bearings to get them all. Thanks!

I'm runnig a YS on mine and ran YS 91 for several years in my 90s till the OS SZH came out but now the new YS 91ST4 is out and getting good reviews I'll be morethan wiling to try it again. Going back to your question, I ran webra on my combat planes and it is true that it takes a while to break them in but once your done with that It runs great and tons of tourque. Let us know about your experience with webra it might give us some options for motor in the future. pinoy...

Webra now has a new P5 50 sized engine. Can't wait to get my hands on one. It will be a power house! Webra has had 50 sized motors for atleast 8 years. I ran one in my Robbe Conquest with a rosse pipe years ago. Like I mentioned before, 5% nitro is great in these motors. Plus 5% is about $8 a gallon depending on who you buy it from. YS is a great motor too!

Well, I am doing breakinn of my YS50ST on a plank. I have put around three 12 ounces fuel tanks today.

I am using a prop nut and collect from a webra 50 :-) Using 15% Cool Power fuel with a 11x6 prop. I am runing it very rich doing around 8 to 9K RPM´s and flying it.

The muffler is from a Magnum XL52 Plank Engine.

Here are som pics:

man im sorry i missed this post before you spent your $$. you could have went with the enya 50 its rock solid and 1/2 the cost of everyone else.
sure its a little heavier and slightly less hp but unless your tearing up the sky you don't need more.
only you have the power to make no difference!

Isaac,
Why do your break-in on a plank? You can do the same thing on a heli and while doing your break-in with the heli you can also do your trims and inspections for any bolts after each flight now you have to do that separately. Pinoy..
