frame definetely does not flex, much stiffer than the L14 CF one that is for certain. Also as mentioned some bigger washers have got me past that issue, for my peice of mind I will get alu plate later on as I did with my other logos....Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

UPDATE
For clarification to all.....

In closer imspection and a few more trial flights the new gear is "NOT" to blame and works 100%, and in all honesty doubtfull the motor plate is either. I simply think I may have overtightened the bolts and deformed my plastic mount abit. In turning it over and using wider washers there is no issue now. I would have to say I am used to my L14s and the mounts I have on them so very likely I got carried away mounting my motor on the 5003D. The heli flies great and no gear issues to speak of now. I will get another plastic plate and be abit more carefull when tightening the bolts moving forward.

Epc2, did the maiden flight the 500 with the 25-10 motor today. Nice motor for sports flying, but not for 3D. I used the biggest 23t pinion and got about 2130 on the head at 95% throttle, bogged quite a bit when using collective. I would guess that a 22t or 21t with 90% throttle would give a nice sports setup with 2000ish on the head and 8-9 minutes flying time on a 6S 3700 pack.

Will either try the 25-08 or the new Mikado/Zpower motor for the 500 series next

Here is a couple pictures from the maiden flight:

The 500 flies nice! Very quiet and smooth. Its funny how the new canopy makes the 500 look really chubby compared to the super slim canopies of the L10/14s

Yeah I think that is what it is. This barley get covered in nitro exhaust from the other guys helis all day long so I sure hope they grow it for animal food or something like that

Here is a video of the second flight with the L500, 25-10:

Great vid, Lorents!
You have a good camera-man. Nice quality picture and smooth flying. Sorry if you mentioned it, but what main blades were you flying?

Thanks The blades are the white Mikado/BBT 500 blades that came out before the ones with the carbon stripe on them. I think they are to soft for harder 3d, but nice for sportsflying like this.

I will change the 25-10 to either the 25-08 or the new Mikado/Zpower motor if my LHS gets it in anytimes soon. Should make it wake up

I've found that you need 25,000rpm on an Orbit 25 to make it perform, so you'll find the 25-08 is a bit perkier than the 25-10 on 6s. The 25-08 apparently does well in a Raptor 550 on 6s. The 25-12 is good on 10s but not quite as strong as a Neu 1910-1.5Y. Always get a fanned version of the Orbits as they get too hot without one.

I've had no issues with gears or motor mount despite some serious 10s abuse in my 500 that is now flybarless with a CSM system. I've only had one day's flying without the flybar, but for 3d this is the future for sure.

Thanks for the info Tean. The 25-10 was quite warm (60 degrees at the can) after flying so I guess its the version without fan.
but for 3d this is the future for sure
I totally agree

I've had tempertures of 75C on the can and slightly over 100 on the coils that the temp gun can see through the big holes in the end bell. It doesn't seem to bother them, but it obviously too hot for comfort. By contrast the fanned 30-12 in my Trex only gets to the high forties on the can. This is an impressive setup and gives over 8 minutes of 3D on a 10s 4000 pack. At 305g, I wouldn't consider the 30 excessive in a Logo 500 with 55cm blades.Logo14 Vbar, Logo500 CSM flybarless, Trex 600 CSM flybarless, 3DMP, Logo10, Lipoly, Mini T, .......

Hi folks,

what do you think about Orbit 30-10 instead of Orbit 25-8??
I've seen that this Motor is recommended beside the Tango 45-10 for the new Roxxter 22 which is similar to Logo 10/500 on 6s.

As Tean mentioned, the weight should not be the problem!

Well I will be testing several motors as time permits. Right now I am running the 1910(H)-1Y, and it really rips for sure. Will be testing a Hacker A40, Zpower 1100, and likely a 45-10 down the road....Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

I really like my Orbit30-12, except that it whistles a bit when under light load. I'll pop it in the Logo and give it a spin when I get some time.

There is also a new Z50-1100 coming soon, which has aparently been done specially for Mikado. If it's the same price as the other Z50s, it'll be hard to beat. Should also work well in a 6s Trex.

Are you thinking of running the 560mm Rotortechs? If so you would want to simply ensure to run 90mm or less tail rotor blades imho. The new K & B 30/50 size tail blades are only 85mm but apparently push as much air as 95mm carbons, those would work well with 560mm main blades imho. Or 90mm MAH tr blades would work as well. I would certainly suggest running the #3092 extra hard dampers in the head if you are going to run 550mm blades and up as it offers more crisper flight and handles the load better on the disc....Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...
