Give the Hacker Ion X motor a try too(1100Kv)...Im sure the Aeromodel guys have some sort of demo thing you can do.

I like mine and actually like the extra weight. With the flybarless config on mine it felt way too light on a 300g motor(Neu 1910) but now it actually feel great through bigger manuvers.

My flight times are 6 mins of constant crazy power. I love how consistant the FP Evo 25 3.7Ah packs are on the Logo 10 3D.

Looks good casey, do you have eagle tree logger? With 23 tooth that should really pound out some watts me thinks. ...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

I got rid of my logger a little while back to rchelijim. I need to get another one, one of these days.

About to charge it up and take it out for a test run..

BTW, I had to use a razor knife and remove a bit of the rough edge on the frame corner where the motor wires exit to help prevent a short. If you look close, you can see where the frame has had a slight amount of material removed.

Man 4:15 is really bad Its either your packs are old and busted or your motor is horribly inefficient. Im guessing its the motor.

You should easily get 6 mins with the Neu 1910-1y and get some pretty sick power.

Even with my crazy heavy Ion X Hacker motor I still get a little over 6 mins with almost constant power. Ive done flight of only tick tocks and hard pitch manuvers just to see how much I could abuse it and it kept on going for 6 mins.

Granted my heli is flybarless and a tad more efficient on the disk but I dont think Ill gain 2 mins from that.

Here is the test flight footage.
http://holmesrc.com/files/L5003D_2.wmv
Setup:
L5003D
alu motor mount prototype
Hacker A40-10L 1100KV
23T pinion
6s TPX 3850
pitch: +-12*
cyclic: max before binding inner swash to shaft
blades: MIK2712 500mm CF
servos: 5645MG x 3 and 6965HB TR
Throttle: 100%
gain (DX7): +44%
expo: n/a
d/r: n/a
vbar: n/a
headspeed: sounded around 2300ish
ESC: Castle Creations 80A
BEC: Medusa Research 3.5A running 6V to all servos.
Gov mode: off

p.s..
Would have video of my L103D as well, but the TR shaft dried out on me and the tail started acting up a minute into the video. Landed and put some oil on it, and it's good to go for next time. Flying over dirt is hard on my heli's. The dust can dry up the oil and bind up the TR once in a while..

Eco8gator,

I used my Hacker C50-19XL in my Logo10 early last year and I found that I got much higher flight times than I did using an Align 600L, Hacker A50-16s or the Z-power Z50A-600. The heli flew fine using the C50-19XL but I took it out after an inflight shutdown (later found to be the esc) and I have not tried it again since then. I don't remember what the KV of your ION-X C50 is but it is probably pretty close to the 19XL. I may have to try it again someday now that I am flying a little better and see what happens... IIRC the motor ran fairly hot...
