I haven't got mine off the ground I'm just gonna start off with steel pinion and blue loctite. But I do know if you take the steel set screw against the steel shaft you can torque it to the point you stress fracture the brass. Steel on steel in brass threads is not a good combo. For a high torque situation. No Really I am the club President!!!

Finished HBK2
I finished my HBK2 and put it into a hover last night. I like what I see so far!!!!! The gears are very quiet and the belt drive is working well. It is rock solid in a hover and the tracking is dead on. I had no problems getting this heli hovering other than getting the battery in a better location. It's easy to make a batt tray to get it more out front. I Just have to do some more adjustments to my JR9303 and then fly the HBK2. But the first hover is always my favorite part and it's even better when the heli is almost perfect on the first hover. If you don't have an HBK2 I would recommend one.

I'm gonna restart this thread in the "new and emerging heli's"section so we keep things where they need to be and dont step on any toes...this is really the BLADE forum so me posting here is a little bit hypocritical since I have a lot to say about T-REX owners who do the sameCompass helis Support Team
