OOOOOOOOOO boy!!!!!! Well, you will have many people recommending differnet brands etc, but the 50 and 90 are definitely differnet. If money is not an issue the 90 size heli is truly awesome!! The 50 is GREAT as well and much more "affordable". THe latest craze of course is the new Trex 600 Nitro, but I have Raptors now and love them. This is just my 2 cents!?

O, by the way, what is your current flying level? Are you doing heavy 3D, or just mild stuff?

I have that gyro on my scale Raptor 50 and it is fine, but yea the GY401 is my favorite for the 450 and 600 Trex's and my 50 nitros as well. The 600 electric is great too!! Keep that in mind!!

no you wont

you wasnt more i do
got a couple of electrics a few planks a giant scake edge 540 gasser

a raptor 50 and a 90se and still want more.

this **** worse than crack.
as for the 50 and 90 the 90 rocks to fly just hurts more when you land badly.

if you can afford a 90 or more get a 90

50's dont have a better power to weight ratio.

That said they perform very well and are alot less intimidating to try stuff with than a 90 due to cost alone. That and the empty fuel jugs pile up alarmingly fast when you spend much time on a 90.

Yes, but they sure do look great in the sky.

I have both - a Raptor 50 Titan and the 90 SE. And my love affair changes each time I fly. My 50 rocks with the Hyper engine and it's an economical machine to boot. But every time I fire up the 90 and take off, it simply rules the sky.

Wish I could help you out.

Wow, RKing just read my mind. I fly the 50 for all my practice flying, and it fits nicely in the trunk of my car I also fly my 50 much harder then my 90.

The 50 is very capable. It requires more input to keep it tracking as nice as the 90, which in my opinion is a good thing, since it makes you a better pilot.

Agreed. I guess I should mention that I also own a Trex 600 and consider it to be every bit as good as the Raptor 50 - but with less flight time.

You are not really going out on a limb here. Any of these choices is a winner, but that 90 is bigger, faster, and stronger. Simply incredible.

There is nothing like a 90. 50's fly well but 90's are very impressive. Field presence..Everyone turns heads when a 90 flys.
Love my 90's ..Wouldn't have anything different..except maybe a turbine..Oh yeah

~80% of the helis around here are 50's. beginner, intermediate, advanced.. makes no diference. The 50's are the best bang for the buck.

I recently got a 90 Synergy, nice flying heli, noticeably better handling in just about every way, but it is harder to build or work on, twice the cost, and i'm still flying the 50's more often... not to say you would regret either one, but if you don't already have one (or two ), a 50 is a great choice.

Yup, I've got 2 90's but my 50 sees the most flight time BY FAR. The 90's are just awesome to have a rip with but their crash and fuel costs can be prohibitive sometimes...

Agree with the above and consider your area of flying... is it windy most of the time... if so... consider the 90... it handles the wind alot better....
I have both the 50 and 90se .... seems like my trex 450 gets most of the attention just for convience.... 50 is great all around, fuel consumption, crash costs...etc.... but my 90 is like the old mans classic car sitting in the garage... I get it out every once in awhile just feel the power
