I Need help with 611 set up using gear chanel on DX7
Tried fly'n today & tail wasn't holding & couldn't get the tail to wag in HH mode
I'm using the Gear channel so I'm using ATV to set Gain.
What I noticed when I got home was in HH mode display on the 611 was
@ G 47a. Dosen't it have to be over 50 to be in HH mode?
I have re-done my ATV to display on the Gyro screne:
G 55a = +104% on ATV switch up
G 40n + -125% on ATV switch down

Am I in the ballpark? Don't know why I'm posting, cause I'm gonna try it tomorrow anyways, but thought I would see what you guys had to say??
and one more thing "DON'T BE AFRAID!"

Hi

The n and a indicate non hh (normal) and hh (avcs). Futaba has a funny name for hh, avcs....

There is something funny going on. You have 2 choices, either use the ATV to adjust the gain with the gyro function off, OR the ATV at +100/-100 and the gyro function 'on' and setup.

TO check, hold 'scroll down' and 'select' and turn tx on. then scroll through and you will get to the 'input select' page.

You imply you want to adjust the gain with the ATV, so set 'gear' to 'gear' by pushing 'select' to get the arrow to point to the top 'gear' and then scroll through the options with the 'adjust' button. Then go to the main menu and set the gear ATV as required.

IF you want to do the other way.....set 'gear' to 'gyro' in the 'input select' page and in the main page, set gear ATV to +100/-100 and gyro function to whatever you want.

Hope this helps, it sound like you have the 'gear' set to 'gyro' and you are now messing with the gear ATV....

Regards

Paul

Hi Jon
You can have 0 A to 100 A and 0 N to 100 N. The 0 to 50 being non hh and 50 to 100 being hh is in the gyro function page. You said you want to use the ATV to adjust gyro gain. So you have from -100 to 0 as non hh ( N on the gyro amp screen)and 0 to +100 as hh (A on the gyro amp screen). (or the other way round if you reverse the gear channel....)
Don't worry about what the gyro amp screen says......to start with......

Just go through, step by step, the setup i explained in my first post, to get the radio to talk to the gyro propperly. When you start setting the gain, look at the gyro amp screen.

Hi

Its a pleasure to talk helis with anyone.

To be a long hall pilot means you will be asleep/awake at strange times. Here on RR you will always find 'friends' to talk to. It was 01:00 in the morning but i was still wide awake. Just got in from Gatwick....and all my mates would have cursed if i had phoned them.

Hope it helps you out.
