Clunk for new Stratus tank.
What type of clunk are you guys using for the new style tank if you use muffler pressure? I drilled my tank like the instructions said, and for one, the clunk can't get everywhere in the tank. But my bigger issue is, the fuel magnet melts after about 4 flights, a small clunk bounces around and sucks air, and a large clunk quits sucking with 1/4" of fuel left in the tank.
Wow, the ground was closer than I thought.

im using the new style tank and a fuel magnet. the white foam magnet is the newer version which holds up to exhaust pressurized systems better i believe. i drilled holes in tank per instructions but was not happy so i put a 90 degree fitting pointing towards the rear on the tank pickup nipple with a real short piece of fuel line then the clunk line ang fuel magnet. this has been working real well for me. there is a post in runryder if you look. i guess some people have been drilling the tank on the front side for the pickup. ???.

Hey steve kra, I'm not sure I understand what you did. Are you saying you put a short piece of fuel tubing on to the stock nipple inside the tank, then something to turn 90 degrees, and then the clunk line pointing towards the back?

i also did not mension. on the clunk line i use the small fuel tubing (not the standard) so the fuel magnet moves around the tank very easily. thats my preferance. never had any issues.

I have two stratuses with the new tanks. I drilled the holes according to the instructions. I haven't had any problems so far. Just make sure to use the fuel tube provided by MA. It's more flexible.
Since you're using muffler pressure/fuel magnet, fill up the tank as soon as you land. This way you get rid of the smoke in the tank, which is what makes the foam deteriorate.
Another solution is to use regular clunk+ header tank.
Just do it.

Here a klunk that works as good as the fuel magnet and is not effected by exhaust.
