TOOO Fast?
Ok new question. I am really enjoying Fast FF #1 because its easy and I am now working on flying a little slower, but tonight I knowticed I had some tail wag kinda like it was hunting but I dont think it was because its rock solid in a hover. also sounded like the blades were not cutting air like it should? Does this make sense. Oh flying a rappy 30.
Thanks
John

How many hours on this head? Maybe bad dampers? Seems like they're going out of track at some point... Ideas?

If what your saying is when your in FFF you hear or see the tail wag then that means you have the gain up to high on the gyro,
just drop it down by 2% and try again

Nightstalker is onto it, Usually with high gain settings tail shakes & also makes a tail blade noise at the same time.

Ok i'll give it a try, so although the tail is not "hunting" during the hover it could be during FFFQWITCHERBCHIN

Yes but its more that at speed the tail blade are more sensitive and if you have ur gain up to high it will just be adjusting the tail very fast in flight that you get this hunting affect and the blades make a nose,

As i say just drop the gain down by 2% and try it,

Well I tried it and it worked I dropped it another 2% and got drift so I raised it back up which put it at your -2% suggestion and worked fine. But I got killed on a inverted hover lol will post pics later.QWITCHERBCHIN

No worries it ain't the first time any I had to rebuild, If ya run hard your bound to trip and fall .

I bought the rappy 30 already set up on the radio, I am now setting up my Titan 50 on the radio also, I have her flying pretty well but I am not sure where to start with the idle up function could ya point me in the right direction?

Well if your going to fly your heli out of the normal flight eg inverted or stall turns just anything other than doing circuits then thats when you need idle up set up.

how do you mean where to set it?

For tthings like loops rolls is where you would use the idle up... correct.

Is it something I have to set up in the radio like I had to set up the curves (pitch, Throttle) if so I would presume it would be a percentage? or am I off track?

Yes thats correct as when you go inverted you will need to ad abit of neg pitch and when you do that you will go to idle (tick over) if you dont have idle up set up,
Is it something I have to set up in the radio like I had to set up the curves (pitch, Throttle) if so I would presume it would be a percentage? or am I off track?
Yes its done via your radio almost the same as your pitch,
you want to get your pitch set to -10 -5 0 +5 +10 and in idle up something like 100% 75% 50% 75% 100% so when in low stick in ilde up it gives you full power as would fully stick,

go to this web site and bookmark it, as it comes in handy so much, he explains how to do almost everything you could every want to do or know
