Beam me to DX7, Skotty.

I have a DX7 on back order and, every time I check Horizon's page, the expected date of availability advances forward in time.

Two weeks ago, availabilty was due for "late may". During the last week, it was updated to "early june". Now it is "mid june".

At this rate, no matter how much time passes, delivery date is going further away.

I would love to try the radio, but it looks like a little time warp will be needed to overcome the real-time vs delivery time divergence that has been estabilished.

In the mean time, business as usual... with Futaba.

I believe delays on Spektrum gear are caused by a shortage of the Receiver IC's (chips) from the IC manufacturer who can't keep up with demand.

I think the who Spektrum thing has been such a world wide success it's caught everyone by surprise, more so now with JR themselves also offering Spektrumised radio's.

I'm fortunate, started with a DX6 as soon as they were released, then modified a JR using a spektrum RF board and now I have my beloved DX7.

This really is great technology who's time has come.

This really is great technology who's time has come.

Yep.
I believe in this technology.
It adresses many issues at once, and does seem to be the future of RC.

If I could just put my hands on a DX7... but I know it is just a matter of time.

If you already ordered one at Horizon. That date you keep looking at has nothing to do with the day you order. So You should expect your radio to ship the date you ordered. I got the first release. I pre-ordered it and the date kept backing up like you mentioned. Then right on the date it said when I ordered, It was here.
