Telebee HH in Blade....help??
I'm trying to do a brushless conversion on my Blade CP. I've stuck a brushless main motor in it, and am using a gws direct drive setup on the tail. I have a brushed CC esc runnning the tail, plugged into a Telebee HH Gyro I would like to use. I can't seem to get this setup to work correctly. When I move rudder stick either way on the tx I'm using (Hitec Optic 6), the tai motor revs right up.The tail motor is not responding correctly. I've tried reverse servo on the Telebee, but no difference there. Any suggestions here on how to set the tail motor up with a Telebee gyro? Thanks,

If set correctly, the dd motor spins even when the heli is idle. You compensate by applying left rudder before lifting off. Once in the air, it behaves like it should. Provided the setup is ok.

Disengage the main motor. Test the tail by hand swinging it counterclockwise. Motor should provide a reactive thrust. If done on the floor, the tail goes back to where it started. If heli goes into a fast piro right after arming, reverse the gyro.

Oh, do not connect gyro sense into the tx. This way gyro is always in HH mode. It is very hard to set the gyro by remote. Frankly there is no need to go into rate mode.Turn on a dime. Flip like a quarter. Feel like a million bucks.

I have two of the Telebee 6G HH gyros on Blade type helis, with both also using the little Castle Creations Thunderbird 9A ESC. Two considerations for you, make sure that your gyro response is properly set, and secondly, set you gyro gain at about midpoint. As Gino has indicated, do not plug in the gyro sense connection. This will keep the gyro in HH mode.Gerry Cullan,

Thanks for the advice guys. I'm not sure what you mean about plugging the gyro sense into the tx. Do you mean to not plug the single wire out of the gyro into channel 5 of my receiver? Thanks,

Not sure what I'm doing wrong here, but the tail motor revs up fast no matter which way I turn the rudder stick on the tx. Something is drastically wrong with this setup. I've tried reversing servos and the telebee, but its not helping.

It is normal for the tail motor to progressively turn faster sitting on the ground. take off right away or compensate withleft rudder.Turn on a dime. Flip like a quarter. Feel like a million bucks.
