Forward flight
Well I have been on the sim a bunch I can Fly fast hard. loops, rolls, little inverted but on the Rappy for real, I only hovered untill about 3 days ago started with circles around me tail in. was doing well, she got a little high about 20ft then I dumb thumbed it the crazy thing is I saved her about 2' from the dirt. Almost ready to give up and shut the trottle down. You could really hear those blades!! BUT what a confidence boost. So after working on the sim last night I though if I can do it here in the simm world of unlimited cash.... I can do it on the field. Went out tonight spooled her up jumped it up off the ground tilted and took off slow at first out to my first turn then back toward me I said the hell with it and hammered it! Whew that sucker can move. I find it easier to FF than to hover. Got her a bit high for comfort and a bit far out about 100yds from me but I was able to bring her back and sit it down where I wanted! Oh today was the first day with no training wheels! What a feeling to have all that sim time pay off!
Just thought I would share it with you guys!

Thats a great feeling. I've always found the sim is harder to fly than the real thing. I agree with you FF is easier than hovering but things can go wrong a lot quicker in FF. Once you get used to that 'pucker factor' of seeing your $2000 flying around in front of you you'll start doing everything you can do on the sim.

Thats what I was telling a freind of mine who flys planks. Theoretically I should be able to do it on the field, Like ya said just have to get used to taking the chances there also. I have been flying my rappy 30 V1 I have a Titan 50 sitting in the shop calling my name!QWITCHERBCHIN

I have always thought that the real thing is easier, as soon as you calm down, and get your nerves out of the way... Like a roller coster, do i once, and your good to go..

Well, My first flight a couple months ago lasted 17 seconds required a full head replacement , sheared the boom from the frame out(slung it 30yds across the field) busted the tail case in two snapped the drive belt. So I got a crash course.... no pun intended.... in setup! Further more a update on the FF I did my first loop this afternoon!! Wow I got the nerves to settle down and it has opened a whole new world up!QWITCHERBCHIN
