T-Rex man considering an MX400

I keep seeing that $90.00 price at Tower and it looks to be a steal. From the very little I've read in this forum it sounds as if some T-Rex parts will also fit. That'd be great as I have 2 T-Rexes and enough parts to support 5! Already having great flying T-Rexes am I going to be terribly disappointed in the MX400 if I keep in mind it costs 1/10th what my T-Rexes cost to get where they are? I'd just like to have a cheap heli to putt around with that I'm not too concerned about crashing. It's going to have to fly halfway decent though. Whadya think? should I bother?

I recommend staying with the T-Rex as you will end up with a MX400 that will be half T-Rex anyway. Another factor is parts availability, there are far more parts for the T-Rex. I can actually walk one block to Esprit and get anything and everything for a T-Rex. Don't get me wrong, I have a MX-Rex and it flies great. But, for the reasons mentioned I would have gotten a T-Rex if I had it to do over again.

Good points Tony! After thinking about it for a bit you're right. I'd just end up making another T-Rex out of it.

I've got two T-Rex 450's. Next will be a T-Rex 500 if they ever get off their butts and release it.

I too was thinking about doing the same thing. But I already know alot about the Trex and I have parts for a Trex, so why do I need to stock parts at home for a different heli. I have a friend that has an ark-mx-rex heli and it flies very well. I like the kit price on that Mx, but in the long run, I think you (and I) would be better off with another rex, since parts will already be in the shop for the rex. I am looking at buying an SA to just putt around with and not have to be so worried.-----------------------
