Gv1 stuck on 97%

What would cause the gv1 to be stuck on 97%? The heli has been sitting for like 6 months, I went to prpare it for a hover and during my check up I realized the sensor was stuck on 97% would not move, any ideas?

Sounds like there is a short somewhere , maybe the sensor itself or maybe the leads are shorted .At the end of the day , it gets dark .

Agreed, sensor is bad

I went through this three times. Get a new sensor, or better yet, just splurge and buy an ATG for a little more money. The futaba sensor alone is 1/2 the cost of a entire ATG governor.

My math is accurate according to most sources for the new Futaba sensor. $39.99 was the BEST price that could be found when I had to replace all three of mine. The sensors were ONLY available with the hardware and magnets at that time, and this is still the case at most vendors. Now double that and you are at $80. An ATG can be bought new for about $95.

Nice find, though at helikraft.

Regardless, the ATG is a much better and effective governor. I will still consider this an upgrade opportunity. Why invest in an old dog? I replaced two sensors on one GV-1 unit within 3 weeks once. That cost me $80!!

At my LHS we can buy them sensor only for about 18 or 20 dollars last time i checked....weird you cant easily get them like that where you are...

can a sensor just go bad from no use?

Apparently mine did, I had someone check my GV-1 out and a brand new sensor showed up defective - WTF! Has anyone taken these apart and done anything to fix this?Having my heli: Cool, Having a working heli: Awesome, Having a day to fly: PRICELESS!
