Correct Head Speed for Raptor .30?
I just finished a Raptor .30 and am in the process of breaking in the engine. First hovering, the cruising around at about 1550 RPM on the head. It is very smooth and easy to fly, even with the red paddles and red dampers.

I am running SAB CF blades.

What is the maximum safe RPM for this machine? I am looking at 3D.

Thank you all in advance.

A good starting point is 1850-1900rpm, increase or decrease according to your needs from there.

Don't exceed 2000 with a plastic head.

Once its tuned in, and you set your T/R curves to maintain above 1800 ish, you will find that it overspeeds during descents very easily, and your life will be much easier if you fit a 'limiter'

Trust me.

Colsy is spot on. You may have to adjust your flying style to prevent excessive overspeeding on decents.

Thanks Guys!

I have a Curtis Youngblood ATG already in the machine. I just have not connected it as I am setting the motor.

Thanks again.
