APPROVE.

Unwavering support of our military, unwavering in defense of this country, in spite of daily, repeated, vicious personal attacks in time of war against what has to be the most dangerous, insidious, and determined group of murdering slime this country has ever come up against. One politician who knows his job and who refuses to be driven by phony polls and the cowardly likes of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, John Edwards and Hillary Clinton.

The Soviets were shifty. I agree.

But, the Soviets were not driven by a desire to obliterate all humanity who weren't exactly like them. Nor did they espouse a twisted view of a religion to use it to drive men, women, and children to blow themselves up simply to become martyrs for the cause. Mutual Assured Destruction worked with the Soviets because as horrible as they seemed to be, they valued their own lives.

With the current crop of bad guys, they don't give a RIP about their lives, your life, or anyone else's life. If you don't agree with their way of thinking, you are dead. I don't recall the Soviets using civilians as shields on a regular basis, nor hiding their weapons in amongst hospitals, schools, and the general population.

The Soviets were bad. The current crop of bad guys makes the Soviets look like saints.

Unfortunately, the likes of Harry Reid, Hillary Clinton, John Murtha, Ted Kennedy, Nancy Pelosi, Diane Feinstein, Barbara Boxer, Charlie Rangel, Barack Obama, Chuck Schumer, John Edwards, John Kerry, Joe Biden, Al Gore, Howard Dean, and a host of other prominent politicians are incapable of seeing and understanding evil. They are more interested in their own pursuit of power that they have no moral guding principles to lead them. The are so blinded by hate they refuse to even accept that there IS evil in the world, and it must be dealt with.

As for his support of the military and his unwavering defense of the country against a very determined and REAL, IMMINENT threat, all you can do in response is to shrug your shoulders and hide behind a "roll-eyes" emoticon.

As for standing firm, lesser Presidents have been driven daily by the results of focus groups, newspaper polls, and sound bites on the three "major" networks. With this President, his focus is NOT his legacy, or trying to shape one for himself. He's taken a firm stand to fight evil in the world, and to promote liberty, freedom, and democracy. More than 25 million people in the world today have a chance at tasting that freedom and liberty, and for the first time ever, to practice democracy as a result of this President's firm stance and unwavering belief in the triumph of the human spirit over evil.

Call that bad, roll your eyes, make fun of me, make fun of him. Even disapprove of him.

It's odd that the President's most severe critics were extolling the virtues of President Clinton when HE talked about Saddam's weapons of mass destruction, and Saddam's murderous and tyrannical ways. These same politicians who today would cut and run when faced with real danger, were hawks when they could support a President who had no intention of doing ANYTHING that would upset the bad guys. They could afford to be hawks back then because they knew their man had no intention of doing anything that might make him look bad.

Go listen to the sound bites of the Politicians listed above when they were supporting president Clinton when he was saying the same stuff about the bad guys as our current president. If the previous president had been able to keep it in his pants and go after securing the nation against Osama Bin Laden and his kind, perhaps we wouldn't be having this discussion at all.

History has proven that Winston Churchill was correct prior to WWII when he talked about the mistake that would be made by trying to appease the Germans. No one wanted to listen to him, or believe him back then. They thought he was a wacko, and someone to be distrusted. He was a lone voice crying in the wilderness. Neville Chamberlain was the darling of the hour back then, and history has proven that his stupid appeasement approach was wrong and dangerous.

The foe that we are currently fighting makes Hitler and the Nazis look like a walk in the park. I'm happy to support a President who understands the risk, who understands the threat, and who is willing to stand up in the face of monumental opposition to simply do the right thing.

Bush is NOT a conservative. That's widely known. He is a Republican, but not a conservative.

Ronald Reagan WAS a conservative. His Presidency, his belief in a smaller government, smaller taxes, and individual responsibility is what made him a conservative. His vision of a shining city on a hill set him apart as a man of vision and of a great belief in the powers of his fellow man.

Being a Republican is NOT a guarantee that you are a conservative.

I'm sadly misguided. And all you can do in response is resort to name calling.

Radical Islam is OK with you? Have you bothered to watch the news coming out of Tripoli in the past three or four days? The 40,000 or so Palestinian refugees who are now being used as human shields by a couple of hundred extremists might want to disagree with you.

Or perhaps you don't believe that suicide bombings, kidnapping innocent people and slaughtering them on TV are bad things. Perhaps you believe that the Iranians are really using their energy to make peaceful nuclear energy. Perhaps you don't believe the six people recently arrested in New Jersey with plans to assault Fort Dix were bad. Perhaps its OK to hijack passenger planes, slit the throats of the crew and passengers, and use the planes as guided missiles to kill as many people on the ground as possible. Maybe the British should have let the batch of potential bombers bring down ten or fifteen transatlantic airliners last year, instead of arresting them. Perhaps building bombs and exploding them in the British underground railways is OK. Perhaps strapping a bomb vest to your teen-age son and sending him into a crowded pizza joint or bus is your way of just having fun.

Yes, this new foe is evil. And makes the Nazis look like a bunch of wimps.

Perhaps you, yourself, are incapable of admitting that evil exists in the world. Turning a blind eye to evil will not make it go away. Nor will rolling your eyes and calling names.
