Getting Proportion when gong to seps
I burned out my 3in1 and plan on going the sep route. Going to go brushless for main and plan on keeping the twin motor for the tail, for now. How is the proportion achieved after getting rid of the 3in1. The 3in1 has a pod that can be adjusted for proportion, but how does that work when replaced with an esc

Well the 3-in-1 consists of 1)a rate gyro 2)a mixer and 3)2 ESCs so one of the components you'll need is a gyro which if you get a heading-hold gyro then you won't need to worry about a mixer as an HH gyro will adjust to hold a heading all on it's own

A rate gyro such as in the 3-in-1 only dampens against rotational forces instead of counteracting them so a mix is a required between the main and tail rotors to supply the proper amount of tail rotor to counter the torque of the main rotor and provide a non-rotating neutral point for the gyro and yourself to operate the yaw axis from

A heading-hold gyro doesn't just dampen against rotational forces - It fully counteracts forces by adjusting the tail rotor to hold a heading itself so it eliminates the need for a mixer to provide a neutral torque/anti-torque proportion

Thanks, thats what I thought, just wanted to be sure. I already have the hh gyro, any recommendations on an esc for the twin tail set up, original brushed motors.
