FP 2170mah, 25C and Elite charger. What do you select as capacity of the battery in Accu cycle Elite charger for FP 2170mah battery? Because the chargers can either select 2150 or 2200mah, cant select 2170 because it increments by 50mah.Please advise. |

you need to go higher as the charger will auto stop once the lipo is full but if u go lower it may not fully charge it. 2200 is where i would set it.regards JasonWee.Splat |

By your statement you seem confused on how lipo charging works. you are setting the charge rate (2.2 amps) not mah back in(2200mah), so 50mah/2170total mah = 2.3% difference in charge rate or total charge time. I always error to the low side but in this case it really doesnt matter.lipo charging basics- If you select 1100 (.5c) it would take ~2 hours to charge, 2200 (1c) it would take ~1 hour and 4400 (2c) takes ~30 minutes. In all 3 situations your battery would be fully charged so only time time differs. Remember 1c is recommended but some batteries are rated for 2c or more.KDS Agile 7.2/5.5 Chase 360 - SkyHero Spyder/Spy/Little Spyder Sponsored by my Visa |

Can't the EVOs handle a 2.5C charge rate anyway? IF you have the newest version they should be able to. You could set your capacity to like 3000 or 4000 if you wanted to charge them faster. Like BrainDrain said, you are really setting the charge rate, not the amount of mAh's that will be charged back in. |

The instruction sheet that comes with the FP Evo2170 battery tell you to charge it at 2200mAh for a 1C charge.I think it might also be printed on the battery aswell. |

BrainDrain_dx,Hobbico Elite charger asks for capacity and also charge rate. I am setting charge rate at 1.75A and for capacity it increments by 50mah so its not possible to select 2170mah, it has to be either 2150 or 2200mah as capacity of the battery. What should i select for capacity? Please advise. Thanks |

zsultan, After I put the answer you still ask the question; check out the instructions that came with the battery and also go to the flight power web site. FP tell you to use 2200mAh on your charger. |
