Metal Main Blade Grips???
Has anyone had any problems fitting the metal grips to a 600?

Mine are very tight and notchy. Maybe i'm missing something here.
Any suggestions?????

Your spindle edging is abit too long. There is a lip where your thrusts rest against, that needs to be filed down carefull on both sides equally, a smidge, then you will be allright. Put grips back on and feel the difference and go till you have no resistance and you'll be set. Several spindles were released for the 600 that makes the grips feel far too tight and notchy, it should only take a few minutes on both sides to acheive a bind free smooth feel....Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

check
check the thrust bearing there is two sizes of brg race,one has smaller ID,larger race rides against thrust washer.smaller is next to bolt.Urukay HPS3 KSE 700 HPS3

I'll double check that i had the thrust races in correct. Even i might have made a mistake there. I was in a bit of a rush the other day to change out the dampeners and tried the metal grips while i was at it. Ended up putting the plastic grips back on so i could go out and fly.I have an extra spindle so next chance i get i'll try that one and then break out the file if i need to. Got some very hard (one piece)dampeners from a guy in England a week or so ago. So far so good. I'll be posting some more about these dampeners soon but so far i am very happy with them....

there is a very small shim washer between the outer bearing and the thrust bearing, if you don't get it out of the plastic blade grip and install it in the metal grip, this will cause what you are describing, Ron, don't ask!!Please cancel my clearance, I have the field in sight. Got my RW Turbine Waiver, need lottery!

make sure that the ball brngs are seated in the grips,use socket or something to tap them in place.Urukay HPS3 KSE 700 HPS3
