Caliber 5 Head links and Swash plate
Hi.
The rod ends on the head linkages are starting to show signs of wear on my cal5, so i'm looking to replace them.
Are there better items than the stock rod ends?
I also have some slop in the swash plate.
Can this be adjusted out, or what options are there for upgrade?
Cheers.
Steve.

Rocket City links seem to be popular.

Sixth item down.

As for the swash, I've not had the opportunity yet to take mine apart to see where you can work it to tighten it up a bit.

Cheers Dave.
Does anyone know if the caliber 30 Swash plates can be used on the C5 (with ems) if i change the locating rod/pin to a ball end?

CA5507 is the Caliber 5 all metal swashplate. CA3504 will work but as you already noted, the pin will need to be replaced and it's not a 2mm thread from memory. I think a 3mm ball stud will do the trick though.

Kiwi, have you upgraded the swash/links on your calibers?
If so what did you use and where did you get it from?
If I'm ordering from Heliworks, I'll prob get the quickUK item and the rocket links.
I had a look at quickUK's website and there is lots to drool over there, but not sure what postage costs would be.

New Zealand distributor is on the ball for upgrade parts. I have fitted upgrade swashplates to my Caliber 5 and 3. Less flex and slop than stock plastic. I need to do something about links though. Stock ones seem to be 'variable quality'. I'm thinking rocket city as well. I have just fitted a Hirobo aluminium washout unit to my C5. The washout links on that have much better tolerances than the Kyosho links. I'm waiting for K&S washout links to complete that upgrade.
