If you were adequately diligent, you would find that I am only answering comments by others. Not starting anything.
Uhh... So assuming that I would ban carrier operations becuase I called some people morons for doing something incredibly stupid? No... You started something, by assuming that you know what I think and assuming incorrectly. Please "too many knee jerk blah blah blahs"

I don't claim to know what anyone is thinking, only what they say (and don't say) and go from there.

I'm all for democracy and freedom of speech but this thread is a reasonably good example of milking it to the max

The whole point of that was to get reactions of people. It wasn't stupid, he got what he wanted.

Stupidity is when you don't know you're doing something dangerous. He did.

Who cares really. Their lives.

No, that is ignorance. Stupidity is when an otherwise intelligent person uses poor judgement. Like the guy endangering everyone in the room by flying a guillotine just a few feet from their faces.
The whole point of that was to get reactions of people. It wasn't stupid, he got what he wanted.
You are right. He did it to get reactions, and he got reactions! He endangered himself, the people in the room, the room and everything in the room just to get reactions! How is that not stupid?

Do you think his AMA insurance, or home owners insurance, or renters insurance would have covered him if anything had been damaged? Or , if any of the people in the room were injured or killed?

Ignorance is lacking knowledge. It is not a text book scenario though. We instinctively know about danger. You may see the blades going around and around. If you do not realise that is dangerous, it is not because you are ignorant it's because you don't have the intelligence to work out it's dangerous; therefore, stupidity.
You are right. He did it to get reactions, and he got reactions! He endangered himself, the people in the room, the room and everything in the room just to get reactions! How is that not stupid?
The people would have seen him put fuel in the helicopter. Start the helicoter. Adjust the throttle. They could have left the room.

Insurance would not cover it, so what? If I took a pee on my carpet (which is not even as harmful as putting oil on it) I wouldn't consider insurance.
You are right. He did it to get reactions, and he got reactions! He endangered himself, the people in the room, the room and everything in the room just to get reactions! How is that not stupid?
How is it stupid? Maybe he is just evil?

Myra Hindley (a murderer) I.Q was about 107, not exactly stupid. Not bright either, but not stupid. When she put an axe in someone, I wouldn't say that was stupidity or 'poor judgement'. She meant for the reaction she got, she meant to cause harm. Now you can say 'well that's stupid to put an axe in someone'. It's not, there's more to life than intelligence. I'm sure he's fully aware of what may happen. He might be irresponsible but we do not know if he is stupid or not.

Stupid people maybe more likely to be irresponsible but that does not mean all irresponsible people are stupid. All sky is blue, not all blue is sky.
