Helicopter-World
It will be a cold day In HELL before I order anything from Helicopter- World...My girlfriend and I oreder me some 550mm carbon blades..For my birthday...Anyway Her billing address and my shipping address...order date was 5-12-07 I call 1 week later they were out of stock. The guy on the phone said they will be in 05-21-07 and will ship...well its 05-23-07 I called to get a tracking Number...Guess what NO BLADES they did not order them.. He told me the billing address and shipping adderss werent the same they did not order them...but they did take the money from my girl friend account...Now they want a PO number from ME thats BULL SH*&. Not once did I get a phone call or E_MAIL from these JERKS...We need to BOYCOTT this place...The blades were thunder tiger 550mm carbon with shipping total 74 dollars and some change...My girl friend call to cancel order I well keep you informed if she gets here MONEY BACK..

P.S has anybody had bad luck with this place???

Talk to genovia, he will take care of any problems that you might have.

In a perfect world online ordering would be like a vending machine. I have had problems in the past and have been very frustrated but patience is key.

I'm sure that the Century reps and wannabe reps will do all they can to help you. The scenario goes something like what happened to you....

You, "joe blow customer" has a problem and get treated like crap or simply jerked around....... then you come to RR for help......the reps jump in and help you get things sorted out..... You'll get your money back or the blades and all will be good......

Then the cycle will repeat itself with the next unhappy customer.....

Century has had a long standing history of such behavior and I doubt that things will "really" change any....

Thank God for the reps on this forum that are willing to help !!

Please take the time to do a search on "Century" or "Helicopter-World" and you'll see I'm not talking out of my butt....

Over the past month, I've made approximately 4 big orders with heli-world and it has taken no more than 2 days to receive them all. I found their online stocking status up to date. I've had dealings in the past trying to get TT blades from different places and a lot of times it's the distributor that drops the ball and mis informs ship dates of blades, not the store.

As a rule of thumb when I buy online though, if it isn't in stock, I don't order it. I either wait till they have it in stock for sure or go somewhere else.

This is NOT their fault!
No, AND I mean NO online company is going to ship a product to an address that doesn't match the customer's credit card. If they do, and the card was stolen, the CC company will charge back the company selling the item. Even if the customer is legit CC harder, and he/she has the item shipped somewhere other than to the addy on the CC, they will still charge back the company.
There is no way they can tell if the addys will Not match up when the order is first made, its only after the order has been sent to the CC company.
Too much fraud out there for any company to try and risk it.
Most people are aware of this, some like yourself get to find out the hard way that you can't ship anything to an addy that doesn't match the CC. Same with using paypal now also, most vendors are catching on real quick and changing their policys.

If you want to stay upset, get made at all the nigerian scammers out there, Fraud it that country's Gross National Product.

And juan, your ALWAYS talkin' out ur butt! Try and read the whole thing and see what the real issue is before you comment next time

Yes, I agree, If they had your number with that order, Then they should have called you when they first found out there was a problem, but thats "if" they had it...

Thats good for you, but lately, all the times I have tried it, from several differant companys, they said nope.

I've ordered from them a couple of times and never had had a problem. Most recently I ordered a set of carbon blades that came cracked. I sent them back and not only did they refund me the cost of the blades and the shipping they charged me but they also gave me the $10 it cost me to ship them back to them.

Now I tried to do an order with heliprozs, diferant CC addy than shipping two weeks ago and they said can't do it??
Differant sales person I guess.

Century, heliprozs and Ricks are the only onlines I ever order from anymore. At least when they make a mistake, Those three do try and make it right.

CJames. This is where your reason for the different ship to and billing address reason falls in the toilet. If their policy is not to ship to a different address, then why charge the cc? An email, or a phone call should have been made before ANYTHING was charged to the cc. bgwhite_98 has every right to be pissed!!!

I have ran into this problem with other online vendors, but they ALWAYS emailed or called to verify information before anything was charged to anyone's cc.

Why is it ok for the vendor to have the money and not ship the product? If the address of the end user and the billing address do not match, sure there will usually be a delay to get the paperwork straight, but it DOES NOT give the vendor the right to procure funds from the cc in question. I would feel exactly as bgwhite_98 does. The ball was extremely dropped on this.

I just got off the phone with Century, was curious about this, they said they DID try and contact the buyer. Sent an email to "her" email address so the claim that they didn't try and contact somebody isn't correct.
If they did charge the card, I would be willing to bet you that they put the funds back as soon as they realized that their was an issue and that there was no response to their email.

BGwhite, glad you were able to get the blades you wanted,
heliprozs is a great company to deal with.

Dont get me started on my past internet dealings with QWW

shuttlepilot,, I returned some idem's to HW just 3 weeks ago, after they received the idem's it took 3 days for them to refund my C-card, did I flip out over it, no, because I understand these companies deal with hundreds of people dally,,

the scam in the link was not only tried with Heliproz it was tried with other venders too,,

Sorry that stating the truth bothers you so much....but it is what it is.....judging by some of the responses that followed, perhaps it is you that should re-read the post. Any intelligent and unbiased person has no problem figuring out what the issue (s) really is (are)....

And I, like many others, have ordered online and had the product sent to an address different than the billing address...... We do that when we know that a signature may be required due to the amount or the nature of the product....
