Question about Hitec servo... I had a bad crash that may have damaged a Hitec 5625 digital servo. I have four others and they can be moved really easy with no power applied to them. However the one that appears to have been damaged moves, but it's hard to turn either way. I've checked the gears (metal) and they are fine. No missing or bent teeth. Under power the servo looks like it moves as good as the others. It's just when it's unpowered does it exhibit this weird behavior. Anyone got any answers to this or should I go ahead and send it to Hitec for a good going over? The servo itself has no outside damage. I was also using the metal servo arm on it.Later...Scott!Hawk Sport - OS 37SZ-H Raptor 30 - OS 37SZ-H JR 10X/R950S |

something.metal servo arms a bad idea. Don't know why people insist on using them. |

Metal arms... Yeah, I'm finding that out now. However at the time that's what I had. Well I see now that using the plastic arms will at least give the servo a fighting chance to survive a crash. Lesson learned. Sending the servo off.Later...Scott!Hawk Sport - OS 37SZ-H Raptor 30 - OS 37SZ-H JR 10X/R950S |
