You must still dial indicate the clutch/fan hub but once it's set, this will alleviate the possiblity of the upper frames shifting in flight in such a manner that causes the clutch shoe to shift with the engine which could result in uneven contact with the clutch bell. After several of these violent "frame shifts" resulting from hot 3D or from someone trying to 3D the 810mm blades, the clutch system/fan hub could shift causing permanent uneven contact until the engine is pulled and dial indicated again. This system is used to eliminate the engine and clutch shoe shifting in flight, essentially stabilizing the engine/clutch shoe and keeping them inline with the upper frames in which the clutch bell is attached. The fan shroud needs to be slightly dremeled or cut about 1/8" in the shape of the frame brace's bottom mount. The image posted is just to illustrate how the brace is installed. When mounted, you must still use your fan shroud. |

Thanks Century Heli for posting the pic and a description of what the upgrade does and why it may be needed. It answered all my questions. I have my Predator SE running good right now but I plan on adding this upgrade part during the winter months when I will not be able to fly. It may come in handy as I am also thinking of running longer blades in the future.Wayne R |

Nice Pict. When I decide to convert my G26 Pro to a 3D Max, I'll order me this upgrade to instal at that time.
