Stock ESC... Final conclusion about shut down? Hello, I have the BLC-40 stock ESC and stock motor of the Mini Titan ARF kit. After 70 flights, I'm starting to have problems with the ESC: it shuts down when it wants. I have the next set-up: light lipo discharge, no brake, auto timing, standard throttle response and helicopter with governor mode.I have been reading many posts about this and I would like to know if someone have found the "final solution" to this problem. What I have concluded reading other posts is that is good using governor mode and standard timing (I have changed my auto-timing to standard timing this morning to see what happens when I have time), but I don´t know if this is the final solution for everyone or not.Anyone can give me some light about this topic? Thanks! |

Under 100% the motor will works but the ESC in not in gov mode, and It will suddenly switch down the motor.- If you want to be sure the gov mode is switched on, you have to program the ESC with +80%-80% ATV. (Here it learns the end- points.)- After the programming have to setup the ATV again to 100-100%.- Use only fully charged battery for switching on the gov mode. If the battery is not fully charged, the gov mode will not switch on. The motor will spin the head, but suddenly will switch off.- If after the start the RPM is not at 3000, or the tail is wagging, the gov mode is not switched on. Landing, and use new battery. (Because the gov works only with fully charged battery.)The new type ESC's are OK, this process is not neccessery.Hope this can help.Aron |
