What Gyro is this?
I got this from a guy who sold me a t-rex 450. It's non heading hold. I'm not very happy with it, it doesnt't hold the very well. What brand and/or reference is it? I have never seen one like this before.Juan Crane

I dont know what that is but if you want better holding get a GY401 or a JR G500t.

Looks like a CSM, might be a CSM HLG-200. They make a cased version and a lighter one with shrink wrap. I have one on my Mini Titan right now (got it on ebay), and you're right, its not a great gyro in my experience. I knew that going in, but holds pretty well for most manuevers. The case is very large and heavy, but well padded, maybe it would work better in the case. I removed mine too.

No remote gain, always in HH, adjust gain by the pot on the board. Try a digital tail servo, might work better for ya, or of course a better gyro.

It's a CSM, Can't recall the model number. My Hornet used to have one.

Shouldn't that gyro (any gyro)be mounted horizonally in relation to the main shaft and not as you have it, vertically ??

Maybe that's why you're having the problem ??

Thats another odd thing- vertically like shown is correct. However, if the gyro sense is backwards you need to flip it updside down.

If its in the case (CSM HGL200), then it makes a little sense, but you couldnt really fit it on a Trex that way.

You may want to shrink wrap it or put some fiber-reinforced packing tape around it to give some modicum of protection.
